Senior Partner and head of our commercial department with over 30 years' experience in commercial law matters. Chris is a Notary Public and member of the Ecclesiastical Law Society in addition to being a trustee of various local and national charities.

With nearly 30 years experience Tom deals with all aspects of Residential Property as well as advising business clients.

Having joined Hartley & Worstenholme as a trainee in 2001, Adam qualified in 2003 specialising in Residential property and was appointed partner in 2006. With a strong belief in providing the highest and most professional legal services in an ever changing market, Adam acts on behalf of a variety of investment clients with substantial property portfolios. In recent years he has attracted instructions from niche legal and accountancy professionals acquiring properties in the London area. Various builders both locally and nationally recommend his services.

As head of the Estate Agency and Property Management division Adam has developed the independent brand into one of the local market leaders supported by a professional, dedicated and enthusiastic sales team.

Adam is responsible for the IT infrastructure having project managed the introduction of the current computer system, case management software and digital dictation solution.

Chris has substantial experience in all aspects of family law, specialising in financial issues arising from divorce or separation. He has particular expertise in living together agreements and pre-nuptial agreements. Chris is a Resolution-trained Collaborative Lawyer. The aim of collaborative law is to resolve family disputes without going to court.

Chris also deals with children cases and issues relating to violence in the home.

Meg qualified last century in Leeds, specialising in probate, tax and trusts from the start. She joined Hartley & Worstenholme in 1985 and is now head of our private client department. She is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners, past trustee of our local hospice and ex-chair of governors at NEW College Pontefract. She represented Yorkshire on the Law Society Council for 8 years, chairing the Wills and Equity Committee for three years and serving on the Mental Health and Disability Committee.

A former motorcyclist and member of SPICE, Meg has attempted a full range of activities from abseiling to zorbing, including fire eating en route, with varying degrees of success!

As well as Residential Property David also deals with Wills & Probate, Lasting Powers of Attorney and Court of Protection Issues. David has nearly 25 years experience in his fields.

Victoria qualified as a solicitor in 2007, after completing her training contract with the firm. She specialises in all aspects of private client work.

Following a career in banking Jonathan qualified into the commercial department as an assistant solicitor. Jonathan supports the head of department as well as managing his own caseload. Jonathan also sits on the board of a number of local voluntary organisations.
